The Dixon Rule

Diana and Shane attend the HOA meeting and surprisingly get along as they bond over the absurdity of their neighbors’ antics. Niall complains about noise levels and proposes an 8 PM noise ordinance, which is denied. They also debate hiring a new pool boy after a resident, Veronika, was caught sleeping with the previous one. After the meeting, a neighbor adds Shane back into the group chat. Diana texts the chat, falsely claiming Shane wants to be removed because he’s overwhelmed by social interaction, then removes him again.

Later, Shane visits Diana to ask about a pointed comment Priya made to him. Diana accuses Shane of being insensitive in how he handled things with Crystal, but Shane shows her their full text exchange. Diana is surprised to see that Crystal had been disrespectful, while Shane had been polite and clear in letting her down. Realizing she misjudged him, Diana apologizes.

The conversation shifts when Diana asks about a comment Shane made to Crystal about not being over his ex. He admits he dated Lynsey for four years and still hasn’t moved on. When Diana mentions she’s watching Fling or Forever, Shane invites himself over with beer and pizza.
